Unfortunately, our firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in Marion on 01/07/2017. When they arrived, flames were already shooting out the roof. The fire was brought under control quickly and then extinguished. Happily, nobody was injured. Sadly, the house and its contents are a total loss. Chief Katie Mast proudly reported that volunteer response to the dispatch was phenomenal; in addition to her, Assistant Chief Aarron Jones, Lieutenant Chad Pluid, and Medical Captain Spencer Hale were on scene, as well as Jessica Barrett, Tiffany Hamdan, Mike Williams, Bruce Appling, and Gary Webster.
