Final Fire Update – 07/19/2017

Barring new fire starts, this will be the final fire update for this season, because the five fires near us are 100% contained!  248 personnel are working fire operations out here, but Thompson’s Type II Incident Management Team breaks down fire camp tomorrow. A Type III organization will finish off the Lazier Creek 3 and Rogers Mountain fires. Kalispell and Libby DNRC units will assume responsibility for monitoring the other three smaller fires.

Lazier Creek 3 Fire: 1,145 acres, 100% contained, 204 personnel assigned. Located south of Highway 2 and west of the Thompson River Road. Crews will continue to remove hose and other equipment from secure areas of fireline. Resources, including engines, will remain on scene to patrol the fire.

Rogers Mountain Fire: 78 acres, 100% contained, 34 personnel assigned. Located 3 miles Northwest of Happy’s Inn. Crews will continue to remove hose and other equipment from secure areas of fireline. Resources remain on scene to patrol the fire.
