We drew winners for our annual raffle at 12 noon today. All winners this year either live in Marion or own property in the Marion Fire District. Kathryn Buckles won the first prize of $1,000. The second prize rifle goes to A.J. King. Sam Nickol won third prize—the souped-up Kindle tablet. We are grateful to all who purchased raffle tickets or donated money to our fundraising effort. The raffle netted $10,015! Only $25,585 to go until we can purchase a new Jaws of Life extrication tools system for Marion Fire. Not bad for a “bad year.

A grateful shout-out to the Auxiliary volunteers who sold raffle tickets this year and the business owners who hosted their efforts. Thank you to all of you who purchased raffle tickets or donated money in the fundraiser.
