Early yesterday afternoon (Saturday, August 09, 2020) dispatch alerted Marion Fire to a structure fire on Lower Lost Prairie Road. Unfortunately, the property owners suffered a complete loss of the structure and a vehicle. The fire eventually covered 1.5 acres of property/wildland interface. The fire is 100% contained. Our firefighters, as well as DNRC’s, handled two small wildland fires on the west side of Little Bitterroot Lake today. The fires were probably human-caused. The fire danger level is currently HIGH. Please, let’s all take care to not spark a wildfire. Continue reading Loch Fires

Regretfully, Marion Freedom Day (our community’s 4th of July parade-carnival-BBQ that we host) is cancelled. A majority of the Marion Fire District’s Board of Directors decided to cancel the event, because of COVID-19. Hopefully, we will be able to host the event next year.
